Times are changing. Everyone can feel it, and we are working on a very special project to show how much it has changed over the course of the last 25 years of Pride in Indianapolis. We are looking for people who are interested in sharing their coming out story for a documentary which will be shown at various times during the festival week and beyond. We are also looking for memorabilia that you might have saved from Pride’s past. All items will be photographed for posterity, and if it is something truly great, it may be included in a Pride art and history presentation being shown in the Indianapolis Arts Garden through the month of June.
Eileen Keenan of Eileen Keenan Photography will be the videographer for this project, and we have scheduled three dates where you can come and share your story.
- Tuesday, May 7th – 7-9pm – Broadway United Methodist Church – 609 E 29th St
- Wednesday, May 8th – 5-8pm – Metro Nightclub – 707 Mass Ave (must be 21+ to enter)
- Saturday, May 11th – 2-5pm – Broadway United Methodist Church – 609 E 29th St
This is open to everyone! For this to be a living, breathing history, we need everyone from the pioneers of the movement up to the youth of today. Be a part of history; tell your story!
